YouTubing in Tubingen

Original playout date: 18 November 2007
Duration: 12:10

Second film in a trio of Baden-Wuerttemberg cities. A group of us went from Reutlingen to Tubingen, a fine old university city and a must for youtube participants with a penchant for puns.

Some people call this “Germany’s Oxford” and this was the alma mater of many great German minds. Twinned with Aix en Provence, Anne Arbour, Durham, and home to Holderlin, Hesse, and many others. A town which has given much to European culture and knowledge for many centuries.

This video contains my first ever mention of the creations of Alexander McCall Smith.

Quote of the clip: “I see that Richard Dawkins much has got here, oh well, I supposed there are confused people all over the world”.
