Minette on the Inter-City Train to Kraków

Advertisements

Original playout date: 27 January 2008
Duration: 15:36

When working in Russian TV I met this delightful trio as their manager was a friend of mine. Most of these songs got banned from our station, but I got given the rights to use for my productions. They were fun people but the band never really got off the ground, being eclipsed by another of his groups, TaTu.

Here is the part of the journey between Miechow and Krakow, accompanied by four songs by MinNyet. This 2003 Moscow-based girl band’s name came form a pun on “no landmines” and “minette”, a posh word for oral roberts shenanigans.

Quote of the clip: “Eto nasha territoria, zdes’ min nyet”
