Other remarks:

As many reading this will know, I went on to do a load of driving videos, but this was one of the earliest attempts, showing the road between Czarnków and Szamotuły in -6 degree cold and snow everywhere. Very typical Polish road scenery.

Originally it contained a musical backing track with several pieces that did not obscure my commentary, however it was an early copyright claim and so it had to be replaced by a new soundtrack which still produced a copyright claim after the next goalposts change, so I lost by better audio and am left with no advantage to having a piece called “Galactic Time” by Aalborg Ambient Soundtracks in place of my usual vibrant commentary. Does anyone wonder why I have mainly no music on my later videos?

A litte dark and atmospheric, a reminder of how my vsits to Czarna Hanka hotel in Czarnkow used to be when I used to be the auditor of a nearby noted factory.
It demonstrates the use of fizzy orange flavoured vitamin pills. This occasioned the sarcasm of some commentators ho pretended that they did not have them in their own countries, and were amazed by them.

One of my favorite Queen songs and also probably the most under-rated of all, since most people seem not to have heard of it these days. I was lucky enough to find one version of it in early YT to sing along with.

Other remarks:

Working in Wroclaw, or Breslau as the Germans called it, (it’s all about Tietz with them), it’s a good excuse to go out and eat after work with colleagues and show you the old town square and the Lwow Restaurant famous on that square.

I think this was the first ever time I had done covert filming, something you’ll see lots of later. You can see that this goes back to a time, which seems so long ago now, when people still used to smoke in restaurants. The only way to stop it turned out to be to outlaw it, smokers never managed to control themselves without being passed laws on.

The video name is a doff of the hat to the music festival Vratislavia cantans held here each year.

Quote of the clip: “There’s a bit of an element gathering over there…”

One of my viewers, Uptodat, asked for a Don Williams number, but when I heard this I knew it was one I wanted to dedicate to Elena, and you will see some of our wedding photos in a gallery.

Thanks to my Hawaiian and Californian buddy, Ken Bankston, a super musician, provided the guitar and a backing vocal for this. I also play the mouth organ a little in it, and translate one verse in Russian.
