Cobra Cobra, mend my show!

Original playout date: 22 March 2008

“There’s a fine nursery rhyme called “”cobbler cobbler””. The idea to mix this up with “”cobra, cobra”” came from my daughter Sophie when we were watching this clip of the snake, which is certainly doing the rounds here on YouTube. From what I can make out they must have milked the snake’s venom dry and also (from the way it is simply slapping with its chin when it strikes) taped the mouth shut with clear sticky tape.

I don’t really approve of the use of snakes in this form of entertainment, by the way – I’m just mining some humour out of the juxtaposition.”

Morphrac – New Morphing Fractal Channel Icon

Original playout date: 13 January 2008
Duration: 3:40

This was one of those experimental films, based on some morphing of fractal images I found. Not very good really but at least it is evidence of how I tried a bit of everything.

This is another example of the kind of collaborations and experimenting that people got up to in the YT community in the early days. Here one youth of the USA hands out his number and invites the whole world to call, but when Huliganov does it becomes clear that Luke Johnson is no longer interested in taking further calls. I wonder why?

Jut mucking about in Hypercam with Sophie. It’s a crap animation (mainly disliked by the audience) but the joke and the punchline are even worse. It is glorious in its silliness.

This is probably the most disliked-to-liked video in my whole history of fillummakering, and it is not hard to see why. The rendition is dire. There’s no other word for it. But this stays in as proof of my dogged determination not to flinch at criticism, but to let it happen!

This melody became famous because of the film “Ghost” but this version is much more eery and spooky than the one that Demi Moore is listening to when she makes her pot!
