This is a showcase of what Czech customs seized from holidaymakers returning from travels in exotic places with parts of engangered species breaching the CITES convention.
In order not to cause species to be depleted on this planet it is essential to stop the demand in these things. At least until they can be farmed in a sustainable way. Even certificates given by the person selling it may turn out to be bogus, and the cruelty involved in getting some of these products needs to be considered by souvenir hunters before they buy something gruesome which will hasten the demise of natural ecosystems.”

Here’s a slice of life in Poland for you. I thought I was walking home from work in nice weather, and then I noticed the horizon getting dark, so I decided to hop on a tram. This tram then rode into the middle of one of the worst storms I ever experienced, rendering it impossible for me to get out at my stop. See what happened after that and watch lightning flash follow lightning flash from a rainblurred Warsaw tram window.
Some 5 miles away, in Ursynow, the residents had 15 minutes between dry ground and knee high water ruining their cars. Nobody had seen the like for over 120 years.

I went to Tczew and this was going to incorporate more than just the train ride. I had grand ideas about updating the earlier videos I took in the older part of Tczew and maybe even popping to Gdansk to film a bit, but in the event I was just too busy. So you’ve got some train footage, and a few comments, and that’s it, I’m afraid. You get to see train food, the high water on the Vistula and the work going on to improve the track. And there’s a mildly amusing story of the woman who marched out of the carriage when I got in like I was some kind of leper or potential rapist, only to be caught with an invalid ticket by the guards with no small amount of brou-ha-ha a little later.
