Sika deer in Ashridge

Original YT playout date: 10 February 2009
Duration: 39:12

“I can’t belive you you film this, let alone make other people watch it afterwards, REDICULOUS!” wrote one commentator. Nevertheless, I am enjoying watching it afterwards, as it has my parents on and little Sophie’s voice, which otherwise would be lost for ever as my parents are gone, zichro baruch, Sophie hi gdolah achshav, and this will never happen again. So even if someone doesn’t like it, I don’t really care too much. I like it. Yeah, it’s a pity that the video cam is blurred, but that’s what I had. Some people see the world like that anyway, because they don’t realise that they need glasses. Just as some commentators comment like that because they don’t realise they need more brains.

Uncle Davey’s Herts Content S2 E3 – Bovingdon Royal Oak and Broadfield School Fete

Original YT playout date: 18 July 2008
Duration: 12:12

“We visit the Royal Oak in Bovingdon village by Hemel Hempstead whose decor commemorates the American servicemen who helped Britain win the Second World War, and without whose help it would have been even more difficult than it was to beat Hitler’s forces.

After that we look at a typical English school fete, this time at my old junior school, Broadfield School, which hasn’t changed a bit.

Uncle Davey’s Herts Content, #11 “Around Water End”

Original playout date: 29 March 2008
Duration: 9:22

Some nice colour on this video again. We look at trout farms, watercress, beautifully composed village scenery and sheep in pasture. What’s not to love?

Don’t miss the images of Hertfordshire pudding stone (which is a real mineral by the way, not just a pleasantry) and the the English pub food in Gaddesden.

Holiday in Alsace #11/12 – Gallery shots of Colmar and Keysersberg

Original playout date: 4 December 2007
Duration: 7:43

There was me thinking nobody is ever going to be bothered over property rights for a song form Armenia called Pnjlik Mnjlik by a gent called Arsen Grigoryan. How wrong I was, the video has got a claim but fair play to Arsen it plays on. He gets all the money because we all know only the music is important in a video, not the image, that’s why it’s called video, but OK. Better than the vandalism I suffered on many of my vids and then got called on copyright for the “free” tune anyway, a little later.

Random Clips – a video scrapbook

Original playout date: 7 November 2007
Duration: 3:38

This is only 88 views after 11 years of existence. And yet, it has meaning for me, and is even a very nice one, if only for the images of my dearly departed mother and father enjoying themselves with us, and Simona calling Sophie “the most beautiful child in the world”, which of course was before she got to know her ;-).

Yes, all in all probably one of the nicer “Random clips” videos I have done. I have a few of these, ones which have nice little bits of footage that don’t really fit an ordinary film.
