Pilgrimage!

Original YT playout date: 8 August 2008
Duration: 1:01:09

An account from the first day of the second army of pilgrims from Warsaw heading out for the shrine of the Black Madonna, on the annual footsore migration of hundreds of thousands of people over a route of well over 200 km, many (such as Lord Moggy of lordmoggy channel featured here) subsisting on mere bread and water for nine days in their quest for fellowship and blessing.

I make a few comments about what I witnessed form a Protestant perspective, but I do mean the remarks in a kindly way, as at the end of the day atheists and islamists need to see Christians standing up and being counted, which is what these people are doing.

Also features in one part an attempt at Chaucer’s famous opening to the Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English. Some of my older viewers can tell me whether I got the pronunciation right or not.

I am actual posting it here on Huliganov.TV during pilgrimage time 11 years later. It goes to show that precisely 11 years ago I got down to below 120 kgs and right now I have a good chance of repeating that, having eaveraged 10 or more kgs more in the interim, sometimes even 20 kgs more.

Fat Blokes on Tea

Original YT playout date: 26 June 2008
Duration: 1:07:25

A hopefully amusing conversation on the terrace between three middle aged men in varying degrees of overweightness. Regardless of the alcohol-free nature of the occasion we manage to talk amusingly for some period and do some impromptusinging for the neighbours. This contains such gems as Moggy and Alan’s matrimonial ads, a rendition of “”Two Little Boys””, and a history lesson about Braveheart, all unscripted and unrehearsed.

Enjoy. We did. (I think).

Later that day we rang the radioshow together that you can see on this channel as the item before this.

Huli and Moggy deconstructing Rod Stewart

Original playout date: 30 March 2008
Duration: 29:10

Moggy (channel name was “lordmoggy” but he got banned) finally made it to Poland. Those of you who have been following the saga of his preparations on his channel might be wondering if he ever made it or not, but he did.

So here is an off-the-cuff Huliganov and Moggy collaboration made spontaneously on the back of today’s news that Rod Stewart is turning his back on the UK for LA.

Joe Becker also gets an honorable mention (that’s “Polish Joe” or “”Johio”” for the listeners of playradiouk.com)

Introducing Lord Brucey!

Original playout date: 16 August 2007
Duration: 6:49

I did only one with this spoof character, which was invented to troll out my Ozzie friend Graham Rose, who called himself “Lord Moggy” who started out as a viewer of the channel, who ended up coming over to Poland and working with us for about fifteen months.

Lord Brucey is of course hanging upside down as an Australian spoof figure. He reads Samuel Coleridge’s “Xanadu” and then sings the song based on that poem by Olivia Newton-John and the wonderful Electric Light Orchestra.

I always intended to do a bit of him again, but never got afround to it. That having been said, I still do have that hat…
