Huliganov’s England – 4/4 “Germy Claxon werry bed men!”

Original YT playout date: 21 January 2010
Duration: 10:24

Huliganov negotiates the underground railway on London, but comes face to face with none other that “Germy Claxon” himself! Or at least a poster thereof, advertising his latest bilious att-hacks. Huliganov is putting up with none of the nonsense this atrocious human being writes, and shows that even from his face you can tell that he is a no-good style character.

Huliganov’s England – 3/4 “The Man on the Clapham Omnibus”

Original YT playout date: 18 January 2010
Duration: 14:21

What the man on the Clapham omnibus might think of something was always as much a beloved benchmark of desired behaviour/legal decisions in English law as the famous WWJD is to believing people in America. However, the man on the Clapham omnibus is merely a fictional character, as Huliganov discovers. When he finally sees a Clapham omnibus – he’s in for a big shock, which shakes to the core his faith in the English legal system…

Huliganov’s England – 1/4 “Ghost Town”

Original YT playout date: 17 January 2010
Duration: 13:14

We fly from Warsaw Chopinmall Airport to so-called “London” Luton, (don’t be fooled, it’s nowhere near London) and then go on to Hemel Hempstead to do a spot of Christmas shopping, and get a few special offers. One offering by the Specials in the 1970s talked about “this town is coming like a ghost town” – they could really have been singing about Hemel Hemsptead a quarter of a century later – all the old lovely things like the Pavilion and the old market, and the nativity crib all gone, and replaced with stupid tableaux of fluffy toys being attacked by wolves and nonsense like that! Quite frankly the way things are going, the town is lucky to have a Christmas tree. By the way, please note that even after all these years, I sang that song at exactly the right pitch – as the video proves. I didn’t autotune it. If you think that’s easy, you try it! Could always have been a fluke, of course…

Belgian Conga

Belgian Chamber, Christine Avgustaki, Belvedere Restaurant, Warsaw,

Original YT playout date: 17 January 2010
Duration: 10:03

“Well, they didn’t exactly conga, not by the time I left, anyway. It was the day after Hermann van Rompuy was named by the powers that be, (by which of course, I don’t mean the democratic electorate, as we did not get a vote on it, but as yet we’re still allowed to comment that, so I am) and the Belgian community abroad were so delighted by this that they invited all their friends to a slap up meal and a concert by one of their stars, in the most expensive restaurant in every capital city, to celebrate. We got Christine Avgustaki, for Warsaw, and the Belvedere restaurant. I hear that we had tried to get Jacques Brel for Poland, as he has many fans here, but that he was otherwise engaged.

Many thanks to Belgium for this, we all had a wonderful time, and I only left early as it was already past midnight, and anyway I never trained to dance, so I dance like a train.”

Varvara Krasa Dlinnaya Kosa – Barbara the Fair

Original YT playout date: 16 January 2010
Duration: 1:20:25

Huliganov TV has been able to get hold of a full version of this Soviet children’s movie for your enjoyment. Directed in 1969 by Alexandr Rou, this production of the Russian Story of “”Barbara the Fair with Silky Hair”” stars Mikhail Pugovkin as King Jeremy, Anastacia Zuyeva as the Narrator Lady, Georgiy Millar as King Chudo-Yudo, and Tatiana Klyuyeva as the eponymous Barbara.

The story is a traditional style fairytale, with King Jeremy kidnapped by the underwater kind Chudo-Yudo while making a census of his lands, and agreeing unwisely to a ransome demanded for his release…

Sunset with migrating starlings and the beginnings of a tornado

Original YT playout date: 16 January 2010
Duration: 5:49

This interesting sky was filmed on my drive home last year one November evening. The song is a composition of mine which doesn’t have words yet, but I am thinking about plum trees with white blossom on, seen across the plain of a river in spring flood. If anyone wants to turn that into a lyric, be my guest. After that we have a fairly random scene where Sophie starts to do one of her extemporaneous “stories” while we are waiting for our takeaway to be ready. I’m not sure that what you see in the sky is really the beginning of a tornado, but at first glance it sort of looked like one. Not sure how else something like that would be there just on its own like that …

For Parents of Children with Autism

Original YT playout date: 11 January 2010
Duration: 2:06

This is just a heads up in case you have not yet tried Omega 3. For Tatiana and George here it seems to be producing the best results of any method tried so far. Certainly between December 2008 and Summer 2009 we spent a fortune on this gluten free casein free diet, plus xylitol and all the other things involved in that diet, with no effects either on removing the “offending” foods, nor on returning them to the diet also. The idea that autism is caused by improper digestion of gluten and casein producing some morphine like substances may well be the case for some autistic children, but, it would appear, not ours. However, omega 3 contains as part of it a mild chelative acid, aiding the brain to rid itself of mercury. There is no way to take part of a child’s brain and see if there is mercury in it, the only thing to do is to chelate mildly, and if there is an improvement then the suggestion is that thimerol or other sources of mercury and/or other metals has caused the condition. At the present time the amounts of metal in and around us, through vaccines, through food, even in the air, with the exception of lead which has decreased since unleaded petrol, is much much higher than in previous generations. Even 18 years ago, when there was already a fairly well developed diagnostic apparatus for autism, about 1 in 8000 UK children were born autistic, as the NAS were quoting back then, now it is one in 300. A startling rise. This completely discounts the idea that a gene of autism exists, and on the other hand the fact that many people despite vaccinating do not have autistic kids, whereas others have more than one autistic child looks like a genetic predisposition, but people who have autistic children often cannot identify anyone who had autism previously in their families. The gene, in so far as it exists, is probably a lack of ability to prevent metals in the blood from entering the brain, the so-called brain-blood barrier. Probably the gene which is causing autism in such amazing numbers now which was not seen before is an innate lower ability to deal with mercury which never needed to be put to the test until the end of the twentieth century.

The issue needs to be properly examined, and if it turns out to be the case then at the double we need to research chelation techniques for affected children. Omega 3 is great, but it only scratches the surface. On the other hand I know of someone with a child which had Asperger’s Syndrome, and Omega 3 on its own was enough to provide a complete therapy.
