“We visit the Royal Oak in Bovingdon village by Hemel Hempstead whose decor commemorates the American servicemen who helped Britain win the Second World War, and without whose help it would have been even more difficult than it was to beat Hitler’s forces.
After that we look at a typical English school fete, this time at my old junior school, Broadfield School, which hasn’t changed a bit.
