With a popularity rating of under 30%, this experiment was not very highly appreciated by the listenership on YT. But then again, whenever two songs are placed together the fans of each get all upset.

You can find a very charming piece on YT where John Denver and Karen Carpenter, both voices now late and of fond memory, combine in a medley of the Scots staple “Coming through the rye” and “Good vibrations” and even two such wondrous voices and performers as these two face a barrage of outraged comment criticism and wurzel thumbage.

Therefore I can’t feel too bad at the reception of this attempt by me to juxtapose the mincey soft cell number with the American classic, but stil I thought it was quite clever. That’s probably what lies at the root of a lot of my problems, come to think of it…
