7/7/7 Berlin – a meet-up of pioneering YouTubers in Germany
Original playout date: 9 July 2007
Każdy z nas powinien dotrzeć tam, do Berlinu, on the 7th of July in 2007, that special date, we had a YouTube programme owners’ gathering in Berlin. This was the first and only time that I went to one as in these days it was still a community and not stolen back off us by corporations by the famous “don’t do evil, that’s our monopoly” Google.
Contains a visit to the Holocaust memorial as well, and you’ll see Aeric Winter and other leaders in the German early youtube community.
It went to Sony Centre because of rain.

Other remarks: I would have expected a bit more viewing of this, but in the end there were not many folk in that early community. We got it off the ground and for that we got early privileges, but they have been whittled away over time and a lot of the early crowd simply went on to other things.
