Looking at Plants 1 of 2

Original playout date: 10 August 2007
Duration: 11:09

29th July was the date we looked at the Plants in Powsin Botanica Gardens, although it was uploaded a couple of weeks later.

A very nice outing with my daughter and wife from the first marriage together with Sophie and Irina my sister-in-law from the second.

Includes the story of the first plantations of Rooibos tea, the wonky Christmas tree, assorted methol cases in the medicinal garden, and even the poppy is medicinal, the secret garden and the marrow discovery exhibit.

Quote of the clip: “You’ve got an old father, so think about Old Father (thyme)”. To which first wife, seven years older than me says “You are calling yourself ‘old father’? I can’t believe my ears!”
