Iain Lee’s Show on Play Radio UK

If you cannot see this top bit, see below.

Original YT playout date: 25 September 2008
Duration: 3:55:36

Iain Lee only ever did one show at playradio, aired on 18th August 2008, with his unique controversial brand of humour. It says this is blocked worldwide, although I can actually see it, don’t know if you can.

I have had it confirmed today that nobody can see this version on YouTube, as it seems that even with the availability of revenue sharing and the fact that labels are more likely to sell a record when further generations get to hear a piece, their music is more valuable than all the voice talents in the piece, a view I disagree with, and expecially so as Playradio UK paid a handsome fee to license this content for these shows which were viewed at the time by only a fraction of those for the level of license that was paid.

So I have no moral qualms about putting it up here. Don’t ask for any revenue share, you had it already, and you had your chance for more before you blocked it on YT.  If you don’t like that you can write to my hosts in Tuvalu and see how far you get.

And my thanks go to Ian Stewart for requesting the video, which gave me the nudge to dig it out and blow the dust off my decaying skills by working out how to put that on here.

Another go at the Huliganov Christmas Language Quiz from 2008

This was very popular at the time!

Now we can play again. Each person getting will get a mark out of 10. Guesses are limited to one per day (CET) per player. If anyone guesses more frequently than that their guess won’t be marked.

No prizes. No clicking on the links to the original clips until after the quiz is over.

Enjoy.

Intro to a mobile phone GPS-based game voiced over by me

Some friends of mine, very clever folk, have made a smart phone app which is a territory game – based on the Voynich Manuscript which I’ve blogged about on here before. The game is called Modern Wizards and the idea is self-explanatory if you watch the film above. They’ve made it in Polish and now they are making the English version so they asked me to be the “voice” for this in English. I was very flattered.

Here’s my narration and critiques from professional voice actors are much appreciated.
