Historical NTTBS (#6 – 10th February 2008)

Original YT playout date: 1 June 2008
Duration: 3:00:48

Purple language warning – not intended for junior viewers.

There is no show on video for 3rd February, so this is the 6th in this series of historical Not The Tommy Boyd Shows.

In this one, Matt starts to introduce his new sounds for the show, but more importantly Jo McCafferty joins the team and Alan immediately uses the opportunity to sharpen what Stu calls his “pulling technique”.

NTTBS 25th May 2008 (aka “Not the Not the Tommy Boyd Show”)

Original YT playout date: 31 May 2008

Enjoy Tom himself in the studio, for the first hour of the night, leading to one of the forum regulars saying tonight should be called the “Not The Not The Tommy Boyd Show”. In the rest of the show we are joined by Isolde, a promising songwriter and performer with a lovely voice, who also performs live as well as showcasing some pre-recorded tracks.

NTTBS & HHH 11th May 2008

Original YT playout date: 17 May 2008
Duration: 5:02:06

At over five hours, this is one of the longest if not the longest video on my channel. It is blocked worldwide because there are so many songs on it, as I did not edit them all out, this being too time consuming. It has been well-watched prior to that and was an excellent evening’s talk radio, including one very glamorous special guest.

Historical NTTBS 6th January 2008 – Karaoke night

Original YT playout date: 11 May 2008
Duration: 2:59:54

Everyone remembers this as one of the greatest shows. You get a glimpse of Alan Caddick (known on youtube as Dustybin321), Trancemystic (known on youtube as lordmoggy) and others (I also appear a couple of times), Fat Steve, Steve Bentley, Stu and Matt in the studio as well as Randy Lawford (with a controversial entry) showing off their vocal prowess.

This show was really the decider as to whether the Tommy Boyd show could really keep on going without it’s eponymous hero. Above all it was probably this evening that persuaded the managers of to keep the Not The Tommy Boyd Show as a regular Sunday night fixture.

Up for grabs for prizes were Matt’s old jumper and a pair of socks from Polish (then) Joe.

Relive the excitement, and rate it through the roof!
