Huliganov’s New Rants – #1 Book or Film

By popular demand, Longlat and Merlin to be precise, the Huliganov Rants are back. I’m leaving too controversial topics alone this time, but the question of whether to watch a film before or after reading the book, if so be there be one, is a popular evergreen for ranting.

True Pedantry

A Huliganov Rant (done now but ostensibly for October 2007, as I missed that month).

What’s this all about? Well, right now, in the UK there are a few books and broadcasts going on about the so-called walking diet or the 10,000 steps diet, all of which revolves around the use of a pedometer, which is like a mechanism clipped onto the belt that clicks a counter forward every time it moves up and down. However, there is a problem with this whole concept, as I show in the rant.

Vlak Vlog

Riding back from Zabrze where my colleagues and I were consulting on the privatisation of the local football team, which used to belong to the council. Introducing the lawyer Margaret, who was my colleague for too short a time, despite being such a lovely and charming person. She refuses to sing her wonderful rendition , and then Huli starts a rant and ends up laughing and losing it on camera talking about people throwing their money on the lottery.
